StrataCorps, LLC is group of solutions architects that work together to provide leading edge information technology solutions for businesses in the Midwest with our primary focus on web-enabled technologies and services.

The company name comes from the two words, which by definition is what we do...

"Strata" (ˈsträtə):

• A level of society composed of people with similar social, cultural, or economic status
• One of a number of layers, levels, or divisions in an organized system

"Corps" (kôr):

• A body of persons acting together or associated under common direction: e.g. the press corps or marine corps
• A trained group (Synonyms: band, body, brigade, company, contingent, crew, detachment, division, outfit, party, regiment, squad, squadron, team, troop, troupe, unit)

As the primary solutions architect, I formed StrataCorps to bring together various levels of expertise in the varrying technological disciplines in order to be able to respond to our client's requirements: from IT strategic planning, Quality Assurance, to application design, computer and network design and resource planning.

In recent years it has been commonplace to disregard the strategies for successful technology implementation in most company's Web Designs.  In the past, web design meant having someone with good graphical skills provide the customer with a layout presenting the business and their services to the world wide web.  With the primary objective being aesthetics before function, businesses may not see where the traditional application development practices are crucial to a successful company web site.

We are application specialists and business analysts.  Our primary concern is the mission objective which is to understand and help define what your web application should be and what it is expected to do for your business--today and tomorrow.  From gathering sales information from agents in the field, taking orders from your customers, or communicating new products and service offerings as they become available.

We are strategists.  We understand that not every objective can be achieved with the first version or release.  We strategize with you to determine what the primary objectives and goals of your web project are and then help you to prioritize those objectives to insure a reasonable and affordable solution will be implemented.

We are solutions architects.  Working together we can design and build a solution that will encompas the Web technologies that will deliver your application--to your customers, your employees, your partners; around the world or in your office

About Me

I was born and raised in Springfield.  Obtaining my Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Information Systems at, what is now, Missouri State University. I moved to California where, for over 13 years, I designed and manged network infrastructure projects for various City and County of San Francisco departments including the Port of San Francisco and the Public Utilities Commission.

I have been developing database-based applications since the 1990s.  Working with large and small database systems including Oracle, Informix, MySQL, MS-SQL.  I have managed million-dollar projects working with network and server technologies--from the ones that you've probably heard of (Microsoft) to the ones you may have not (UNIX, Linux, and, yes, even Novell).

In 2005 I moved back to my hometown so I could be closer to my family.  I started this business as a way to extend my knowledge and expertise to business that are in need of some technical direction.
